Well… it’s been a good eight years. What am I saying… It’s been a GREAT eight years. It’s been full of sorrows and triumphs. We’ve lost characters, and we’ve gains characters. But the story has stayed true to itself and ended on a very high note.

The series finale of [SCRUBS] was today, the ONLY show during prime time that I watch nowadays. Oh, of course I tuned into M*A*S*H, Cheers and Wings, but there was something about [SCRUBS] that I really connected with. For the first time, a T.V. show actually let a character’s imagination become it’s own character. J.D.’s fantasies were an integral part of the show, and I think that’s what reeled me in.

Like J.D., I myself have an over-active imagination, and it was great to see that there’s a possibility of someone else in the world with just as much craziness, but enough sense to not let it control them all the time, without proper medication.

The story and the character development are two things that will always keep me coming back, but in [SCRUBS]‘s case, it was the sheer fun of it all that made me want to go out and purchase the previous seven seasons.

I’ve been reading a lot of blogs and forums on how everyone thought it was going to end, or what was going to happen to all the characters. And I’m was perfectly enthralled with how the writers drew close to Sacred Heart.

I’m not going to give any spoilers, you’ll just have to wait until it comes out on DVD, or they play the rerun on T.V. But out of all the series finales, [SCRUBS] has now won the Silver on my list of all time favorite series finales. The list is as such:

1. Quantum Leap
2. [SCRUBS]
3. Cheers
4. The Wonder Years
5. That 70′s Show

Quite an eclectic collection, huh.

This final episode made me laugh and actually cry. There were moments when it tugged at your heart strings, and poked at your funny bone at the same time. It was amazing!

I wish the very best for Zach, Donald, Sarah, Judy, Johnny C, Ken and all the rest of the former cast of [SCRUBS] in whatever their next endeavor may be, and to let you all know that for eight years, thirty minutes a week, you have been bringing the kind of joy and happiness that you just can’t find anymore.

Why is it, when you enjoy your job that there’s not enough time in the day anymore? I usually clock in at about 9am. But as soon as I find time to blink, it’s already 3pm!!! Now, my previous gig was in web design, but I’ve found that working with the creative geniuses this new company is much more fulfilling.

I talk directly with clients instead of going through customer service representatives. I am not only responsible for the creative aspect of the website, but am also responsible for the programming end. And probably the biggest plus, NO TEMPLATES!

I’ve been told on more than one account that the word “TEMPLATE” is only to be referred to as “THAT-WHICH-SHALL-NOT-BE-NAMED”. I WANT TO MARRY THIS COMPANY!

Also, everyone here seems very mentally stable. Everyone has a place, and they are using their talents to help the company, and not just themselves. This is the TRUE definition of teamwork, not like my last gig, where “teamwork” was defined as: like I care about what you have to do extra, I did what I am getting paid for.

It makes a huge difference when everyone interacts with each other. There are no cliques, no gangs, no stereotypes, and no B.S.

It finally looks like I have found my place in the digital world.

This is the second time a web hosting site has gone screwy on me. First Time Warner decided to reconfigure their customer personal website program, which messed up everything, now Lycos is now Tripod, so I have to do it all over again. The good thing is that I was still able to access all my files via FTP, so I do not have to redo the site itself, but some of PHP coding will have to be reconfigured to support it’s new location.

This just goes to prove the old phrase, nothing in life is certain but death and taxes!

Let me tell you, I wasn’t impressed. You can only have ten possible results, and ten possible questions. Hardly enough space to represent ALL the classic cartoon charters that have effected out lives over the years.

So, when I’m not happy with what someone offers I do what I always do. Make it myself and make it better!. So I present to you, MY “WHAT CLASSIC CARTOON CHARACTER ARE YOU” Quiz!

Since working with Forever Interactive, I have found my muse once more.  I am currently working on my own video game titled “The Misadventures of Average Joe”.

Imagine Indiana Jones meets James Bond with a sprinkling of Robot Chicken.

This game will be a mix of point-and-click and platform.  I currently have a small demo that I’m using for testing and I could use all the feedback I can get.

Now before you criticise the bugs in the game, I’m only looking for comments about the look and feel of the game itself.  This is a work in progress, and the version I have uploaded is only a small section of what’s to come.

Although, I was initially disappointed that this was not a job fair, I found the information and insight to well make up for it.

The resume cafe was aimed to take your current resume and see how it can be better. The seminars covered a variety of topics from networking techniques to how to ace that next interview.

Although, I did not come out with a job offer in hand, I feel now that I have more than enough ammunition to bag me a 10-point gig.

Although, I am not receiving a paycheck, I feel the experience is priceless. The connections I’ve made just within a month of working with the web team are phenomenal.

So far, I’ve only touched the surface of possibilities with this company, but I foresee nothing but exciting and challenging times ahead with Forever Interactive.
